Marcus has been so instrumental in my daughter’s success with the violin. Marcus has a way of making his students feel comfortable during lessons. It’s completely a no judgement zone. He is extremely patient with all of his students no matter their playing ability. Jordan’s confidence level has gone up tremendously since working with Marcus. She has become fearless when it comes to sight reading and is constantly looking for challenging pieces to play . Under Marcus, my daughter has consistently received A+ in NYSSMA, playing at a level 6. She was concertmaster in the Strings Orchestra for GYO, while concert master assistant in MYO’s Concert Orchestra. She has played in the pit in every school play since 2020 and has started her own quartet. She has recently been accepted to the MAP program at Juilliard. Marcus is an amazing instructor. Any student would be lucky to work with him!
