Marcus Brodsky

Marcus Brodsky, a seasoned musician and dedicated educator from New York, boasts over 15 years of violin/viola expertise. As the owner and music instructor of Sky String Studios, he currently maintains a studio 40 students within Nassau County. With 10 years of teaching experience, he previously maintained a studio of 20 students at a local music school. His students have achieved top positions in various music festivals such as All-County, LISFA, MYO, GYO, LIYO orchestras.
As an orchestral musician, Marcus serves as the Associate Principal Viola at the South Shore Symphony. He has graced renowned venues such as Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center. Marcus held significant leadership positions in orchestras like the Queens College Symphony and Gemini Youth Symphony.
He has worked with notable chamber music coaches and participated in masterclasses with accomplished musicians. Marcus earned a Music Performance degree from the Aaron Copland School of Music at City University of New York at Queens College under guidance of Brett Deubner.
Outside of music, Marcus has a keen interest in photography, videography, and creating unique coffee recipes. You can explore his digital creations on Instagram. He currently plays a 2022 violin and 2016 viola both crafted by Polish Violin Luthier Sebastian Ordziniak, from Lukas Wronski Violins.

Ganling Chu, hailing from Caracas, Venezuela, brings 15 years of violin performance experience. Introduced to music through El Sistema de Orquestas, she later continued her studies at the Jose Manuel Olivares Conservatory.
After relocating to the United States in high school, she furthered her musical journey at the Staten Island Conservatory and Opportunity Music Project. Ganling has graced renowned venues like Symphony Space and Carnegie Hall, collaborating with orchestras such as ISO Symphony, Queens College Symphony Orchestra, and New Conductor’s Orchestra.
She has studied with notable pedagogues including Daniel Philips and Marcy Rosen and holds a degree in violin performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music. In her free time, Ganling explores her passion for art and design, visits museums, and savors diverse culinary experiences.
Ganling offers in-person lessons across Queens and Brooklyn, including Astoria, Corona, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights, Long Island City, Maspeth, Rego Park, Ridgewood, Williamsburg, and Woodside.
